Udaipur is one of the most beautiful cities in Rajasthan.
It is also known as the Venice of the East and a perfect destination for a romantic India vacation. Udaipur is the second most-sought after tourist destination of the state, the first being Jaipur. It is popularly known as such because of the large number of lakes adorning it.
Udaipur was founded by Maharana Udai Singh.This city, on banks of Lake Pichola was later named Udaipur after the ruler, Maharana Udai Singh, and literally means “Udai City”.
