Kansas is a state in the Great Plains region of the United States of America. It is generally considered the center of the country, at least in geographical terms, though one of its nicknames is “the Heart of America.” Kansas City and Environs – Smaller half of Metro Kansas City, which spills across the border into Missouri. Kansas City as a whole is much larger and more cosmopolitan than Wichita. The second largest city in Kansas is not Kansas City, Kansas, but Overland Park, Kansas, a wealthy yet nondescript suburb of Kansas City.. Kansas City also is halfway in Kansas and is a large metropolitan center.
Tallgrass Prairie preserves the natural habitat of the Prairies. Of the 400,000 square miles of tallgrass prairie that once covered the North American Continent, less than 1 percent remains, primarily in the Flint Hills.Kansas is windy and flat and an ideal location for a huge wind farm with hundreds of wind turbines in Gray County

Alabama is a state located in the southeastern region of the United States of America. It is bordered by Tennessee to the north, Georgia to the east, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico to the south, and Mississippi to the west.Mobile is a major seaport. The city is famed for its diverse architecture resulting from English, French and Spanish rule, notably in the Church Street Historic District. Alabama was hit hard by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 but much of the infrastructure and attractions have been repaired and are open to visitors, Believe it or not, Alabama has covered bridges. If you’re a fan of the old wooden, one lane covered crossings, you might want to visit some of our 12 bridges still standing. Some are still in use, even! See the Covered Bridges section for more info. Alabama has a rich heritage when it comes to black American’s struggles for equality. The key civil rights historical locations are scattered throughout the state. See the Civil Rights section for details.

Mexico is a country bursting with life – the people are vivacious, the landscape strewn with historical gems and the nightlife tequila fuelled. Highlights in Mexico are the capital city of Mexico City, Monterrey, with its beautiful colonial buildings and Guadalajara. For colonial cities one should visit Oaxaca, Morelia, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Queretaro, San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Merida in the Yucatan peninsula, among others. Mexico is what you make of it. Its multi-billion-dollar tourism industry is adept at satisfying those who like their travel easy. But adventure is what you’ll undoubtedly have if you take a just a few steps off the pre-packaged path. Activity-based tourism, community tourism and genuine ecotourism – the type that actually helps conserve local environments – are developing fast in rural areas. Mexico has a population of 97,483,412 inhabitants, according to the most recent census by the Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas, Geografía e Informática (2000), with an ethnic composition of 60% mestizo, 30% Indian, 9% European and 1% other. most Mexicans will be only too happy to help you feel at home in their country. Invest a little time before your trip in learning even just a few phrases of Spanish – every word you know will make your trip that little bit easier and more enjoyable.

The Caribbean is situated largely on the Caribbean Plate, the region comprises around 7,000 islands, islets, reefs, and cays. These islands, called the West Indies, generally form island arcs that delineate the eastern and northern edges of the Caribbean Sea. The Caribbean is a region consisting of the Caribbean Sea, its islands (most of which enclose the sea), and the surrounding coasts. The region is located southeast of the Gulf of Mexico and Northern America, east of Central America, and to the north of South America. These islands are called the West Indies because when Columbus landed here in 1492 he believed that he had reached the Indies (in Asia).

After reportedly landing in the Bahamas, Christopher Columbus named these islands the Indies, because Columbus thought he had finally reached Asia (and the East Indies).

The region consists of the Antilles, divided into the larger Greater Antilles which bound the sea on the north and the Lesser Antilles on the south and east and including the Leeward Antilles, and the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands, which are in fact in the Atlantic Ocean north of Cuba, not in the Caribbean Sea.

Long called the West Indies, the overall area is now commonly referred to as the Caribbean, a name that became popular after World War II.

Geo-politically, the West Indies are usually regarded as a sub-region of North America and are organized into 27 territories including sovereign states, overseas departments, and dependencies. At one time, there was a short-lived country called the Federation of the West Indies composed of ten English-speaking Caribbean territories, all of which were then UK dependencies.

Spain is a democracy organised in the form of a parliamentary government under a constitutional monarchy. It is a developed country with the ninth or tenth largest economy by nominal GDP, and Spain has the 15th highest HDI. It is a member of the United Nations, European Union, NATO, OECD, and WTO.

The Spanish Empire expanded to include most parts of South and Central America, Mexico, southern and western portions of today’s United States, the Philippines, Guam and the Mariana Islands in the Pacific, parts of northern Italy, southern Italy, Sicily, cities in Northern Africa, as well as parts of what are now France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.

Spain have four official languages. If there is one thing which all Spaniards love, it is to eat, drink and be merry, whether enjoying tapas over fine wine in Madrid, Seville or Barcelona, or the elaborate Basque Country equivalent, pintxos, over cider in the north.

Sport in Spain has been dominated by football since the early 20th century. Basketball, tennis, cycling, handball, motorcycling and, lately, Formula One are also important due to presence of Spanish champions in all these disciplines. Today, Spain is a major world sports power, especially since the 1992 Summer Olympics that were hosted in Barcelona and promoted a great variety of sports in the country. The tourism industry has led to an improvement in sports infrastructure, especially for water sports, golf and skiing.

Spanish cuisine consists of a great variety of dishes which stem from differences in geography, culture and climate. It is heavily influenced by seafood available from the waters that surround the country, and reflects the country’s deep Mediterranean roots.

Well we can say that Maldives is a paradise for snorkelers along with scuba divers, with its profusion of coral as well as sea life. Its beaches and hotels do not dissatisfy either. Where is it situated? The Maldives is a cluster of over 900 coral islands, situated in the Indian Ocean, off the south west coastline of India. The miniature islands are sprinkled in a string heading south moreover they provide a serene, if luxurious getaway for the traveler in hunt of silence recreation. Where can I hang about? It’s tough to beat the wonderful amalgamation of extensive, white sandy beaches, great blue seas as well as sultry sun, plus most hotels in the Maldives construct the most of their ambiance by offering visitors contact to the beach straight from their rooms, or creating idealistic areas for dinner along with drinking. Boutique hotels go a pace further than this by creating a breezy, up to date experience that makes visitors sense exactly at home, at the same time as looking forward to their every need, so that a straightforward holiday really does develop into a heaven for its duration. On the Ari Atoll lies the most special hotel in the island cluster, the Dhoni Mighili. This eye-catching hotel sleeps just twelve people and guests arrive either by luxury power boat, personal plane or quixotic Dhoni. A butler sees to your every requirement. Eat, drink and sleep to your own timetable as well as make the majority of each minute. Or, if the North Male Atoll is more to your taste, the Hufaven Fushi is a dissolute boutique hotel just 25 minutes by power boat from the Male’ global Airport. Calm down by your private pool, for the reason that there is only your villa as well as one other on the whole compound. If you want a candlelit dinner on the beach, just say so. Truly generous, but worth every penny!
